The Doctoriales - Digital Systems or Humans, 4th ed.
March, 19 2026
The Doctoriales – Digital Systems for Humans is an informal event designed to promote exchanges, idea sharing, and scientific cross-fertilization among PhD students of the DS4H Graduate School. It is also intended to give Master’s students a taste of what doctoral research is like.
First- and second-year doctoral students are strongly encouraged to take part in this experience! Just come and meet other students… and let the conversations surprise you!
- Keynote Speaker: Serena VILLATA (Université Côte d'Azur, CNRS, i3S), Head of the Inria MARIANNE research team, Director of 3IA Côte d'Azur, member of the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Council of the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industrial and Digital Sovereignty
- Scientific speed datings: Come and pitch your thesis in front of 3 successive groups of students from different backgrounds. After 10 minutes, the gong rings and the presenters/listeners groups mix... No specific support to plan, come as you are and dive in!
- Spark Up! Workshop: Randomly form groups of 3 doctoral students, let them shake their thesis topics and share with all the participants an original research topic that may spark from this improvised brainstorming!
- Round table - What comes after a thesis: PhD Career Perspectives
- ED STIC Best Theses Awards
You don’t have to provide any specific materials or produce any work as a participant in the Doctoriales. Any participation will make PhD candidates benefit from "training hours" via ADUM.
