Our presentation focuses on the contributions of John Dewey's philosophical thought to an institutional conception - both old (through the reading of John Commons) and new (via the cognitivist approach of Douglass North) - that integrates the dynamics of emotions to enrich the conception of action and the analysis of the link between institutions and the individual.
