Abstract:
To enhance pro-environmental behavior, many types of educational interventions have been developed. In this study we test with a large field experiment (N=430) the effect of a common type of intervention that we hypothesize to strengthen civic engagement (“clean walk”).
We compare behavior following an engaging activity that consists of collecting trash in public spaces with both a control treatment and a less engaging awareness treatment.
