Candidature Chaire de Professeur Junior NeuroMod

Within the framework of the possible candidatures for the Junior Professor Chair of the NeuroMod Institute, 2 seminars will take place (March 1 and March 4, 2022).

For this first one, we are listening (at distance) to :

Francesco Bogliacino (Universidad Nacional de Colombia) will present a set of studies to identify the impact of shocks on memory, cognitive control, and fluid intelligence. The research involves lab, field, and online experiments, using direct manipulation and recall of shocks.
The results have implications for understanding the change of behaviour following psychosocial stressors or traumatic events and shed light on the consequences of poverty.

Abstract: Negative shocks are significant financial losses experienced on earning or accumulated assets. Violence, recessions, natural disasters, health problems entail adverse shocks.
